Video Sharing seems to be the new web 2.0 frontier. Is there a future for video sharing or YouTube catch it all?

Accordind to Steve Bryant the next big kahuna is Metcafe.

It show an impresive traffic growth and has a different business logic, relayin on a thin client.

This make content filtering and tagging more powerful letting to emerge only the best videos. At the same time it assures a powerful user’s tracking technology which gave a great value to the network. (we do not discuss the privacy problems it case).

Since the hunt started again we saw:

  • a Voip sold for billions of $ (skype)
  • a Social Network Site sold for a lot of milions of $
  • a Video Sharing Platform for Billions of $
  • a blog network , for Millions of $

It Metcafe will be the next You Tube? It will be aother  network of blogs the next take over? Gawker, Federeted Media, b5media?

Also “Global Leader for Tomorrow”, John Battelle seems cought unprepared from the guys he wrote about. It could be wright with his new enterprise (Federetaed Media)
